What Cupicorn is

Cupicorn helps applicants of the HEC Launchpad find a co-founder: you create a profile, browse other members, like the ones you would like to work with, and get each other's contact details when the like is mutual.

What we store

  • Your email address and a hashed password (never the password itself).
  • What you answer in your profile and the photo you upload. The onboarding asks for your name, birth year, program, languages, skills, project, sectors, ambition, commitment, one photo and two prompts; the other sections (background, experience, personality) are optional.
  • Your likes and passes, your matches, the profiles you block and the reports you send.
  • A session cookie that keeps you signed in on your device.

How it is used

Your profile is shown to the other members of the app. Your email and WhatsApp number are shown only to people you have matched with. We use what you wrote to suggest complementary profiles. We do not sell data, run ads or use third-party trackers.

Where it lives

Data is stored on Amazon Web Services (database and photo storage) and served through Netlify. Access is limited to the organizers of the app.

Your control

You can edit your profile at any time. You can delete your account from the Profile tab: this removes your profile, photos, likes, matches and session immediately. You can also block or report any member from their profile.

Contact

Questions, requests about your data or anything you want reported: leo.burtin@hec.edu.
